Our "Why"?

Zach Fest Purpose: “Music, Kindness, Community”

Zachary Ernest Davis possessed a burning love for music as both a musician and fan. Zach had always displayed empathy and an attitude of kindness in his life. A desire to be of service to others, adhered to as he navigated his journey to sobriety and thus began the rigorous training for a career in nursing.

These truths, along with the open arm embrace I received at the beginning of my own grief journey upon Zach’s untimely death in December of 2020 prove a sturdy purpose to do some good things that can only be accomplished “in community” having a great concert, great live bands, enlightening speakers and some engaging fundraising activities

"Zach Fest ‘25 Community Benefit Concert” will be at Redwood City’s Club Fox April 27, 2025.

Not only does the "ZF25" event, on the heels of the successful ZF24, promise to be an uplifting live music experience, but will also ultimately serve to “be of service” to organizations serving the San Francisco Peninsula Community.

Thank you and Blessings,

Garrick Davis - Zach's Dad

The Inaugural Zach Fest 2022

The First Zach Fest, April 2022

The closing set with a stage full of world blues musicians!

Thank you again to all who came to the Fox Theatre in Redwood City in 2022 to support turning the flood of loss into a reality of celebration, music and community! That means "everyone", including the audience, the  bands "Rebels(revisited), Skip The Needle and Garrick Davis World Blues (both acoustic and electric) the stage crew, Bay Area media and the Fox Theatre crew itself.

We learned much from that experience, so it was a success. This year, on April 27 we have an opportunity to go further toward making an impact on the community beyond what will be a memorable concert event donating to Kara - Grief Support, and The Tim Griffith Foundation.
